Meet Holly

pronouns she/her/hers

“As your doula, I cater the care I provide to meet the needs of you and your partner. I support your values and goals in a way that complements your unique family dynamics. I work to encourage strong lines of communication between you and your provider, and I encourage you to make informed decisions regarding your care. I ultimately believe you know what’s best for your body and your baby, and I respect your birth and parenting choices.  I strive to make my clients feel safe and supported in a way that only an experienced doula could intuitively and professionally provide.”  – Holly Reed

A little about me

My journey to birth work started when my first baby was born unexpectedly via c-section at 35 weeks.  My second birth experience was also in a hospital setting, but this time as an unmedicated VBAC.  It was through both of these experiences (and the struggles along the way) that my passion for all things birth-related was sparked.  With encouragement from my friends and family, I took the giant leap to change my career and become a birth professional.  I take pride in being mentored by my own doula, Diksha Berebitsky, and was privileged to have been trained and educated by Penny Simkin at Bastyr University.  I strongly value continuing education and I am always reviewing the latest in evidence-based maternity and postpartum information and research. When I’m not at a birth or teaching essential oil classes, you can find me with coffee and oils in hand! I love to cook, practice yoga, lift weights, listening to music, renovating our 1960’s ranch house and make our home a cozy place to be. I also enjoy all the wonders the Pacific Northwest has to offer like hiking, camping, kayaking, snowboarding, relaxing in our hot tub or just sitting around a campfire too! My work is truly my passion, and I couldn’t be happier getting to meet and support so many wonderful families as they find their way into parenthood.
